Wow I need one!!! Looks like. Clone of the B4 and 201. But a solid Japanese one. I love the looks and now I have ZERO remorse for selling my Worlds car! Need to use eBay to purchase right now as they aren’t being distributed outside of Japan. Looks to drive as well as it looks standing still. Have any of you bought one?

I also really like the look of it. If there was ever a UK distributor I'd get one.

Seems that the same clone was already sold by JEGS, of all things, with the name "Stinger". From what I've seen, it's practically identical save the different shell and the lack of turnbuckles.

Thread on RCTech for those that are interested: https://www.rctech.net/forum/electric-off-road/1102801-gforce-geneva-2wd-buggy-kit.html

Gavin has done unboxing and build threads on RCKicks YouTube as well:

Edit - I'd be interested in one of these just to see how close they are to the 201 as parts for that are a pain in the neck at the moment (though someone at the local club has managed to confirm parts should be available again soon - well at least towers and arms! Tamicos stock for 201 parts fluctuates as well so some bits must still be available from Tamiya)

I suggest checking out David’s views on the chassis at Kai City RC as it is a little more detailed. David has also run it and very much enjoys it. For me, I really want one but think I will wait to see if they sort out UK distribution at a sensible price.

Like the vintage looks very much. If I can bring myself to buy something non-Tamiya I'll consider it!😂

Historically, Taiwan was a Japanese colony and Japan transferred a lot of manufacturing technology there.

Way off topic now... Sorry.

I like also the vintage look of the buggy, but I don‘t like the missing metal motor plate/combined plastic motor mount and gear box.

Yeah looks pretty good and like a few people have commented it's got the retro look which has to be an improvement on the more modern cab forward look? I haven't yet looked at the actual price of the buggy but its know doubt going to be competitive on price but the big Achilles heel is you can only buy from Japan which then parts become an issue (but that's all been said before) my little niggling point is on the face of it there seems to be an over kill of plastic:unsure: and I like metal parts were you would expect metal parts to be? But I'm totally open to seeing it in the flesh so I can put that niggling point firmly to rest also it has been said that the plastic is of very high quality?

Between £336-£362 delivered from Japan!.......nah nice but I'll give that a miss! Let's see what happens with or if distribution happens around the globe then I'll see what price it comes at but that's just a bit to pricey for my liking?........and this is from a guy who has just pre-ordered a egress black edition which is £500+........talk about hypocrisy??

When I saw that car it reminded me of my SandViper..but my SandViper is way cooler (just me) so I did not feel any gravity towards it.

Not that anyone asked or cares, but I will take a pass as well.  The non-nostalgic 2WD buggy needs to be at my SuperAstute level to have an emotional pull.. a pull strong enough to win a spot in my pretend RC shop with limited space.

Yeah when you look at an astute it kinda puts it into perspective (they look absolutely beautiful by the way) that's not to say that the genova isn't as good it just reminds me of the ansmann mad rat and the likes!
