leo_. 0 Posted September 5, 2022 I have a fully stock Tamiya Rising fighter and the shocks provide no small bump sensitivity or support on big impacts/compression. What should I look for to upgrade the shocks without emptying the wallet?
alvinlwh 5895 Posted September 5, 2022 I get cheap shocks from JK. https://www.jk-rc.co.uk/jk-rc-shock-shop I dump the oil in the shocks and refill with suitable weight of my choice. There is a set for the Rising Fighting. https://www.jk-rc.co.uk/jk-rc-shock-shop/jkrc9981b-3803-p

Busdriver 6209 Posted September 6, 2022 I have some of these shocks on a Tt01 and M chassis cars. I don’t even dump the original oil and they are better than pogo sticks!!

The reason I ended up dumping the original oil is sometimes, the original oil gone bad and became more like butter than oil. Problem is, after opening up to check (had not seen a bad JK shock oil before), it will need topping up as air will be introduced. And I have no idea what the original oil weight is so I do not know what to top up with!
