Bwaaatch 528 Posted October 19, 2022 Across it’s various publication, CoroCoro has been the home to Tamiya-related manga since the 1980s. It ran a number of serials based on both RC cars and Mini 4wds. The latest iteration is ‘Mini4king’, by Hiroyuki Takei — an internationally known master thanks to his work in the Shamen King series. The best known example is Dash Yonkuro from the late 80s and Early 90s. In most cases, the artists who draw the manga are involved in the design of the cars, and some (not all) such designs trickle through to becoming commercially available. Of those Tamiya cars that originate in this way, many bear the CoroCoro logo to denote their lineage. Useful links to many of these series here (better if you view the desktop site): https://mini-4wd.fandom.com/wiki/Mini_4wd_Wiki?mobileaction=toggle_view_desktop Best known cars are the Dash Warriors series and the ‘Dragon’ series.
