Hi all. Ordered one of these for my 16yr old for xmas as he wants to try out drifting. Overlooked the fact it doesn't have light buckets and he/me/we would like to install LED headlights etc. Does anyone know of an off-the-shelf solution for this particular body shell in respect to light buckets, or is it a DIY job?!

Cheers.

Edit - kit no. 58613 🙄

the Tamiya Supra body shell does have lightbuckets for the front, but not for the rear.

you also have to drill them out to fit the LED's.

it's possible to fit rear light buckets from the Yokomo Supra, but i dont know if those are possible to find anymore.

Ah fabulous - thanks for the quick response and clarification. The blurb on the websites must be inaccurate/incomplete. I'll have a Google for the yoko parts then.

Thanks again 👍

Not sure if it is a direct fit but at drifted.nl you could get light buckets from RC Arlos which fits their only Supra body. Here's the link:

Maybe they can tell you if it will fit.

Cheers  mate, appreciate that. I'll drop them an email and see. At least then I'll have a spare set if I mess up!

another option is to use some round universal light buckets, as the rear lights are simple round ones. so something like these ABC Hobby could be worth checking out.

i have two Supra bodies i used Yokomo lights buckets on, here you can see how they look. there is LED lights in the red one:

Wow, they're stunning - particularly like the red! I definitely think having light buckets and LEDs really brings these shells to life. Your examples are fantastic. Cheers for posting. I'll check out that link too.

Cheers fellas - plenty to be having a look at there 👌
