Hotshot 2 Not Blockhead

Mixed day for this today. This morning had radio issues (not sure why, but had a lot of this today. Was very busy though, so maybe interference? ) and broke the bumper accidentally powering into a marshall post. Realised i had a spare part after lunch and got back out there and it ran pretty nicely. Still had a few moments on bumps, but i think that's rear damping. I robbed the slightly-too-soft rear springs for the front of Ultra G EVO and the replacements i got are stiffer (Core RC 2.8lb vs 2.4lb before). It was the only car i ran that got bucked on these particular bumps today, so i think now it's got about the right spring, the damping is a bit much. Softer oil for next time.

Did run nicely this afternoon though. Continues to look cool as f**k

Just drained the 400 oil and put 300 back in the rear shocks. If they are still a bit bumpy next run out i will have to take my pin vise to the damper pistons

Only ran this a bit today, but it went well. Still a bit bouncy though. Might need to get on with opening out the holes in the pistons as mentioned above and using thicker oil. Or just get some CVAs. They work nice on almost everything else I own!

Also need to ditch all the RC channel gubbins i bought. It just doesn't fit that well for running shorty lipos. Maybe a little winter project to chop the "wings" off the tub and design something better.

Ran outside! Was really fun. Lovely dry, fast, grippy astro running. I am sure there is probably some shock tweaking i could if i wanted, but i suspect mostly of the slight vagueness is just the Hotshot. Still looks cool as ******.

Needed to top up a 3D print order to minimum cost, so i designed a closure plate to bolt on the right side of the battery enclosure to seal it better and give a proper stop location for the shorty lipo i use. Going to take off the rc channel carbon lipo holders and sell them. They only really work for longer square lipos.
