I like that one and always wanted some, but with 2 wild young kids, it will be a while before I can get them. Otherwise, that is great for displaying RC cars.

For RC I look for shelves with depth of minimum 15” up to 20”.   Otherwise the cars will need to be displayed sideways.

I like my cars displayed diagonally.

I've just got 2 of these:

HAVSTA - Storage combo with sliding glass doors: https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/havsta-storage-comb-w-sliding-glass-doors-grey-s39265914/#content

They are made from proper wood, and the shelves are deep enough for bigger cars (CR01 fits in no problem).

The bottom section is deeper and not glass, so boxed kits and non display items fit in in there well (deep enough for the larger Tamiya boxes such as the TD4)

I considered the Detolf, but if you watch Glen's Tamiya Legends earlier vids you'll see that they are not wide enough for a lot of cars, and he ends up taking out the sides and putting them side by side to create more display width. This is something I'm not keen on for that reason.

Trouble is there are basically no suitably sized display cabinets that I can find. IKEA have some others (Fabrika and another one I can't remember the name of) but they aren't the best looking for RC display imo. Argos have some but they also don't see right for RC display either.

I started with an Ikea Vijitso open shelf, but the dust drive me mad. So after many saved eBay searches, I ended up picking up a very expensive (like £800 new) trophy display case from eBay for £50, a local school were selling. However, adding more shelf supports sourced from the manufacturer (no name on the unit, but after a bit of research I found out it's made by UniBox and they make retail display cases/units) and more glass shelves (non-toughened 6mm glass from a local place was the cheapest and good enough for the light load of RC cars with careful handling when installing it adjusting shelves) it set me back another £200. Worth it though, as I now have 10 adjustable glass shelves in a hefty all glass unit with a simple lock of the door to keep the kids out!

They look really good tad bit expensive but probably worth it as they are made of wood:D

I used the Detolf but as said above they won't fit most cars length wise. I didn't want to take the glass sides out so instead I put blocks under them to raise the backend up higher than the front. I've been contenplating getting some U bracket shelfs and mount them to the wall that way.. of course you lose the 'sealed' case then... but the detolfs aren't really sealed anyway.
