I am a Tyco and Tamiya RC collector I love the bandit and really love the King Cab but its really hard to find a king cab in good condition so for now I decided to make one of my old beat up bandits into one. I have seen people do this before but never use the bandit chassis they usually will use just the bandit body and a hobby grade chassis so I decided to build it using all tyco parts and some upgrades. It has custom lights, engine sound, servo, 4700kv brushless motor and 60A esc running on a 3s lipo battery. I like the way it turned out and it will hold me down until I finally find a King Cab. I will upload video's of it running soon. Thanks!

What a lovely pair! Particularly like the Budweiser livery, that’s how I would finish mine if I ever get one!

Awesome work. I did a KC tribute with a tyco bandit shell, but yours is nicer! great little truck.

Thanks, I will drop some photos. The main benefit of a QD body is simply you can fit a proper servo, bearings and brushless motor much more easily and they are much more common than the Bandits!
