RC trailer ideas?

Hi,

Found this in storage- a full-metal flatbed trailer. I was wondering how I could swap out the wheels to make it drivable? Just something small, for a friend.

 

Any ideas? This is my first time making modifications to non-RC products…

Shouldn’t be too hard depending on what the bottom is like, what size are the wheels you want to use?

The easiest way is probably to buy some trailer axles and find a way to attach them.  U-clamps or fabricate a bracket.

A quick search for "Tamiya trailer axles" revealed these:

3 different widths depending on the size of the trailer, and lots of hex wheel options available these days depending on how big the trailer is.
