Hello anyone here with some knowledge about the niterage 5.2 ?

I remember it came out in the nitro monster truck years when the hpi savage was king and it was what you could call a very early truggy I think it was an answer to people wanted a monster truck that handed far better team losi had their version called the muggy (monster truck/buggy) but it suffered very badly from the clutch bell ball racers disintegrating because of the actual massive wheels and tyres making the chassis twist putting stress on said bearings,

the difference with the niterage was it had a bazaar but quite ingenious connections with the clutch bell going inside the centre diff as opposed to a normal clutch bell and spur gear system but I think its Achilles heel was it was all plastic and quite expensive I did see one go and it was blisteringly quick but in order to get it anywhere near competitive it need hop-ups which because it wasn't that successful after market companies didn't really invest in it which was a shame really!

the team losi muggy faired slightly better because a lot of the parts were interchangeable with the LST and losi's brilliant eight-T and it come standard with the newly developed at the time spektrum system! Tamiya niterage just didn't match up but looked a lot better!:)

Oh now that's a question!

It went out of production quite a while ago and like I've said it wasn't a big seller so I think your only option is the likes of Ebay or if your in the UK and have a local hobby shop they could contact or TBH you could contact the distributor (the hobby company is the distributor in the uk) I did that with a few parts I needed for a nitro thunder I was rebuilding and I did get a good result! Also have a look at the tamiya TNX and see if you can get an exploded view on line of it because that must have a few parts which match up with the niterage like drive shafts and gears shock parts etc

Good luck with it its definitely an rc truck that's going to be sort after in the future;) I could never understand why it wasn't a big seller because it was a really good looking beast and it had one of the biggest engines together with the mk2 TNX at the time and that was a good monster truck aswell

Just had a quick look on Ebay just for interest and there is a few parts for it including an actual one for sale and hop-up diff gears etc which I happily stand corrected! so it could be easier than I first thought for parts:D

So I removed the piston and sleeve. The rod is bent and lower portion where it connects to the crank is broke any ideas y this would have happened? The only fix is aftermarket as no parts are to be found so I'm on the fence to fix or get rid of it sad part it's only had 8 tanks of fuel ran through the car from new.
