Great videos. I especially like seeing the younger generations getting so engrossed in our "toys". They look how I feel inside when I take my car outside and run it around. @alvinlwh I loved that moment after the car had crashed and your daughter glances in your direction to see if she is going to get in trouble. Your reaction of just silence is perfect. I would imagine a parent getting cross at that point would just put a child off joining in in future.

Wait till she crashes my 1:1 car (in 10 years time).

No I'm praying that it bypasses me I never like using the word "hate" but I always make an exception for snow:angry: the government should ban it!

I find I’m always in a minority when I’m chuffed it’s snowing but it’s mainly because it’s hands down my favourite running surface for the Clod.
I will admit it’s an absolute curse for a lot of other aspects of life, one being trying to keep yer feet and hands warm.

Good thing is even with all these snow, we don't get that cold over here where we are. Have you seen the temperature down in Scotland? ❄️🌡️

I'm pretty sure most people here know what I think of snow....

It's simply the very best surface for running RC cars :D

That being said, there are many types of snow. Beware of the splotchy one at temps above 0, all the others are good. Powdery snow will even clean out you car while running, while not getting caked all over it.

I pollute this forum enough with my snowy action shots, so I'll try to hold back here😅

That looks like so much fun! I've only seen snow a few times in my life.

I heard a lot of people get worried about cold and brittle plastic - do you just have to make sure the only thing you hit is more snow?

Wow, that middle section looks ideal for postal racing just in front of your house!

Well, apparently it is snowing here today.  I say apparently, because the school has closed due to snow.  It looks more like slush to me.

Down here in the Westcountry we rarely get temps anywhere near cold enough for proper snow, and I can honestly say I've never seen powdery snow in all my life.

In fairness to the school, it has been coming down pretty heavy for the last 2 hours - when I woke up at 6am it was almost an inch deep on the shed roof, it's now 9:20 and it's almost 2.5 centimetres.  The garden path has that sort of apologetic soggy look to it, because I walked up it twice earlier (I walked down it twice also, for obvious reasons).  My daughter is saying she wants to go out later and build a snowman - well, she might be able to build a snowpile with what we have now.  I guess I'll probably make the most of it and get the LMT out.  The MTX-1 is better-suited for the garden, but I put a new ESC in it 4 days ago and, to save myself £5, I got the non-waterproof version   I mean, why would you want a waterproof speed controller when you live in the West of England..?

The problem with running in our kind of snow is it gets compressed into the tyres, in the wheels, it gets all up in the body, around the chassis rails, pretty much anywhere it can get, and then it slowly melts and absorbs all that oxygen that's around it in the form of air bubbles, drips down, finding its way into all the electricals and giving all the steel hardware plenty of time to rust in all that lovely salty oxygenated water.

Yes, its great, only problem is the grass is quite long. I might  try it with snow however with the DF03.

Really? I'm in Surrey and we get it probably once a year or every other year?

tbf though, where I am right now, we're on a hill on the North Downs, so quite high up so the snow is more likely.
