HG P407 / Bruiser axle width

Can anyone with a Bruiser or a HG P407 confirm that the front and rear axles on this kit are intended to be differing widths?   I bought a HG P407 to pretty much just use parts to kit bash it into a custom build.   Even got 12mm wheel adapters.  When I got everything switch over, I notice the rear axle is quite noticeably wider than the front.   Is this the way this kit is supposed to be?

Yup.  The rear is wider than the front.  
 

I had an OG Bruiser rear narrowed by thus guy about 20 years ago.

I run spacers on the front axle of mine to get the width even between the front/rear.  There's a free file on thingiverse if you have a printer.
