Hi guys

I wanted to order the Hotshot II Blockhead this week, but as I was about to order it, I discovered that they just had the Wild One Blockhead back in stock. I really want both, but unfortunately can only swing it to one car for now - which one is the best/most fun? Both to drive and build of course.

The Wild One Blockhead sold out before I could get around to ordering one the last time around, whereas the Hotshot II seems to be selling a bit slower (or have been made in larger numbers), which could argue for getting the Wild One for now and then the Hotshot II in a month or two if they still have them then.

There are plenty of both around, certainly in the UK.  I'd buy the one you like best for now as it's very likely the other will still be available in a couple of months  :)

I vote Wild One, I like the HotShot series but I feel like Tamiya over did that series.

Whichever one you get don't forget bearings, because I still need to say that for a +$200 kit.

I keep looking at both, I remember when the hotshot first came out my mate had one and I really liked it, but now many years on I really love the look of the wild one in blockhead colours

I went with the WO because I felt the design/color scheme fit that vehicle better. With that said I was never a fan or the original WO :o

Buy what makes you happy, that's what it's really about.

I'd echo a lot of comments of start with the Wild One, and then go to the HotShot.  The exception is if this is gonna be a heavy runner and you're looking for performance/handling, then the HS2 gets the nod.

Given how much fun I had building my non-Blockhead Hotshot, I would go for the BH Wild One first personally, if both the build and the drive are what you are looking forward to. There are more pieces, more interesting engineering, and an all-round more fulfilling experience to be had from putting together a Hotshot IMO, which might mean that the Wild One is a bit of a let-down if built afterwards, but a nice appetizer if built before.

My vote is for the WO as I simply can't wrap my head around he physics of a single shock controlling both front sets of suspension arms (Same thing with the Fighting Buggy).  I know that sounds shallow of me but hey.........  :D
