rc excavator control board damage

hi all

i was given this rc excavator volvo (not sure on make) opened it up and found this damage to the control board as you can see the there a piece is missing from the ground and im not sure how to repair,if it is repairable,any advice on how to repair it

Looks to be fairly straightforward to fix, assuming the GND track doesn't have more damage around the area.  Hard to tell if the track is cut/ripped around the large solder blob where the wire is attached.  Scraping the green solder mask to expose the copper underneath and adding more solder wouldn't hurt.

@Champ85 is right enough, fixed a few things over the years with that technique, nothing to lose and plenty to gain. 
 

The only thing I’d add is scrape gently so as to keep the trace intact. I’ve gotten greedy before and gone all the way through on cheap boards, not sure of the quality of that one.
