Wayne Campbell 2 Posted April 16, 2023 Hi guys, I am building a Bigwig shelf queen, and would like to replace all yellow and blue parts with either carbon, alloy, or at least black plastic. That would be the cockpit cage, the damper towers, the uprights, and the exhausts. Does anyone have a tip where I could find such parts? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ThunderDragonCy 8114 Posted April 16, 2023 I think you will struggle to find alloy or carbon. Best bet would be to spray the plastics with black automotive gloss paint. It covers really well. You can get alloy front knuckles (probably listed for boomerang) and the current TT02B/DF03 alloy shock set will fit with the right eyelets Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Saito2 7236 Posted April 16, 2023 If the yellow and blue parts are PA plastic (as denoted by a tab on the parts tree they came from), they may take black dye. Hard plastic parts, like knuckles/uprights are probably ABS or PC plastic and would need to be painted. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
moffman 5924 Posted April 16, 2023 I’m thinking you’re going to have to spray all you’ve mentioned as the original bigwig was in the days before carbon fibre and the re-release wasn’t out for long because it didn’t sell many units so option parts such as that I’m almost sure don’t exist? You could search for a couple of colour variations they did like the red drive train bits off the hotshot 2 but they will be as popular as a nine and half pound note or silver off the new BH hotshot 2 but black and carbon I would dare say no chance?
