AndyjcClod 389 Posted June 2 Hi everyone Where is good to get Tamiya 3D part prints from? Id like to know as I only use Tinkercad and its pretty limited. At the moment i'm after a 3d print for a spur gear/gearbox cover for a blackfoot I have bought as a fixer upper and I am not willing to pay £14 for a small circle of plastic. Mad Ax 8349 Posted June 2 Another vote for Thingiverse, has a reasonably good search facility too - lots of Tamiya stuff on there.
ad456 293 Posted June 2 (edited) Cults3d has some good stuff MyMiniFactory has some Thingiverse will get another vote GrabCAD has a few bits n bobs There’s another site that won’t come to mind just now Edit : maybe it’s Printables, seems have a few pages of Tamiya stuff. There’s certainly a lot more print file sites than there used to be. Edited June 2 by ad456
Ministrone 1423 Posted June 3 I use Yeggi.com as a search engine for 3d print files. A search for Tamiya comes up with nearly 2,000 results.
smirk-racing 240 Posted June 4 Fusion360 from Autocad is free (which I find rather astonishing - it is clearly a monumental piece of software). That tool can design anything... if you have the skills. I use it to design very basic and simple parts. My skills are extremely limited. Should help you make a simple circular cover for your Blackfoot if you are inclined to learn (between YT and Google you should be able to self-teach).
Tizer 604 Posted June 5 There's quite a few Tamiya repro and upgrade parts for sale on Shapeways too
