Very nice!! so its going to be on the mf1x chassis, will it be 225 or 239mm WB? Probably 239 like the Escort, right?

According to a post from June 9, 2023 on tamiyablog.com it's 239 mm wheelbase.

Obviously a RWD conversion is mandatory.

Can someone explain why Tamiya made this in AWD?!?

Seems a missed opportunity. Tamiya could have created/released a M06Ra chassis along with the FIAT 131. Aside from the top-level part number, they already have all the parts needed (mainly the high ground clearance uprights used both in the MF-01X and the M05Ra). That or maybe indeed they are planning to discontinue the M06 now that the MB-01 is out.

Hopefully the body is released separately.

Uh oh.   Looks like Tamiya wants more of my money.   Anyone know the item# for this release?

Because nobody can drive a rwd m-chassis rally car offroad without just sitting there doing donuts? 😄

It would be less frustrating for the inexperienced I would imagine.

Looks like I'm going to have to start moonlighting and selling my body to get the funds to acquire all these new m-chassis cars 🤦

Because it’s an RC and not a 1:1. RWD RC on road cars tend to be a handful in drivability. AWD ensures it’s fun to drive

Off road??    I can sometimes <many times...??> get my M-06 in trouble on my paved driveway!

For reasons I'm still trying to understand, my rally converted M06Ra is much easier to drive on all surfaces than my regular M06. In fact, it is on-par with my rally MF-01X in drivability!!

Is the color black or dark blue? Maybe this is the reason why there are rumors (or reports, can't remember) that Tamiya will resurrect the PS Dark Blue previously called on the Wolf WR1.

Because their only other rally M-chassis is M-05Ra. AWD Fiat is still better than FWD Alpine they released a while ago.

It appears the Olio Fiat color scheme uses a very dark tone of blue, similar to the Wolf WR1.

From their latest announcement, it looks like Tamiya is indeed resurrecting the spray color to support this build (PS Dark Blue listed at the very bottom):

Even though it's not rear-wheel drive, I'm in love with the MF01X chassis.

I have this chassis with the Ford Escort body and I can't resist this temptation. For my taste, the perfect livery would have been the Alitalia one. But this design works for me too.
