Having fun as it is

The last 15 years  i have been racing in 13,5 stock class, Formula 1 and lately the fwd class. All with high end chassis. And also high end costs. But the fun is missing for some time now. The people racing in those classes are extreme fanatic. Only the latest batterys, motors, bodys are good enough. I recently pickup racing my TT02 again. With a simpel carson cupmachine brushed motor and real car bodys. And i am having great fun again. Yes it is slow en yes the car isn't the best chassis on the market. But i really enjoy riding again.

Good on ya man! At some point in my past when I was racing 2wd stock buggy, I realized I was only a B level racer and buying new batteries and motors and the like would not make a difference in my race program. Can only put so much make up on a pig and all. Racing became very frustrating because I just wanted get around the track with a little grace and fun but the other drivers in my class were either just shy of great or hackers who's nerf you into a wall every chance they saw. Neither is fun so bashing I turned. No if I ever plan on racing for fun, I will do so on my own terms. Stay off the racing line and watch a pretty car go around the track.
