Is Santa a boozed up guy wearing a red suit? Well I'd say the first part of the previous sentence applied to me when I was on here the other night [:P]

How's it going in Moo Loo land? I've got a good friend in Hamilton, where are you in the Waikato anyway?

Hi guys.

Well sorry to say but[:(], I'm packing up the family at the end of 2005 and heading to Perth. So at the moment does this make me a Pom living in New Zealand, soon to be an ex Pom-iwi living in Aussie.

Got a question for you Aussie R/Cers. What are the hobby shops like over there? Mainly Perth. If anyone lives there I'd like to know what's about.

Cheers'

Del

Tis' I from New Plymouth.[:)] The closest TC member to you would be Scott (user name Scoot) in Te Aroha.

I guess you would do some of your RC shopping at Frankton Models in Hamilton? Not much vintage Tamiya stuff left there anymore![:I]

Sorry to hear that Del. But Aussie's just a swim across the ditch.

A famous New Zealander once said that "when a Kiwi leaves for Australia it raises the IQ of both countries".[;)]

Oops To many names![:I] Well to be honest I have only got paint from him! Also these the Mount hobby shop. 90% I buy from oversea's, e-bay heaps- and Tower hobbies. With the US Dollar it's good buying those expensive bit's, Acorn models I have had all hard luck as every time I want something it's not their- Example The Hauler MFU at acorn is $750- I can get one for $355NZ at the monent. Smaller items not a lot in it. Four Red alloy threaded 100mm oil shocks $43.70NZ to my door-from e-bay, Can't even get two plastic oil shocks for that! So yeah don't buy much here.Do you guys have the same problem or am I shopping at the wrong place's???[xx(]

It's hot in Oz, I'll let ya know that! Hope Perth works out good for you, Del. I'm moving to Oz as well, but to Melbourne in about 9 months (well that's if everything goes smoothly). I'll definitely be coming back here though, NZ's great [:)]

Wouldn't that be across the dutch, John??? lol....

WILD ONE... Perth has some good hobby shops I've heard, Perth Hobbies (well duh!) and Radio Model Supplies (www.radiomodels.com.au) , so you should have plenty of options.

Mike, coming over for good? Sweet! TC meets badly organised every weekend!!! lol...

I know you're taking the pi$$, but most Kiwis don't really talk like that. Alex, stop watching that stupid "friend un the frudge" Mainland cheese ad! [:0] **** it's lame...

But, while we're on the subject: I was in the bus station in Hamilton at the start of the year and the announcer over the P.A. system who said when the next buses were leaving etc. had a real ripper Kiwi accent. Alex, you would've had a ball [:P] You may have even thought it was "choice." Heh heh heh...

How are you Mike? Long time no hear. I promise not to make too many more references to bad Kiwi accents... it must get a bit tiresome after a while. No probs for me, my better half is SthAfrkn, so I can play with that accent some more...

When you getting back Mike?
