Need some advice. Keep or sell discontinued body set?

One of the first body sets I bought for my TT-02 when I got into RC rally last year was the Datsun 240Z rally. It got banged up pretty quickly when I was learning to race, so I was on the lookout for a replacement when I discovered it had been discontinued. I did manage to find another at a little hobby shop in Ypsilanti MI but I've been afraid to paint it and put it on my XV-02 because who knows if I'll be able to find another?

 

It's probably my favorite body aside from the also discontinued Escort RS Cosworth I had the last time I was getting into RC back in 99, but I'm seeing them sell for double what I paid on eBay. 

Should I keep it and use it or sell it for a profit? Do you think there's a chance that Tamiya might rerelease it?

Since you really like that Datsun body, I'd suggest going with it, use some shoe-goo/dry wall to beef it up. Live in the now, don't worry too much about what Tamiya may or may not do!

I have a Honda S800 body on one of my own cars, the fact that it's discontinued means that I simply drive it more carefully. But I'm not afraid of scuffing it up a little bit.

Ive started to consider buying 2 body sets when i’m looking.  One for the shelf, snd one for the drive.

@RallyX If it's a body you like, I'd finish it and run it as display.   Drive your car concourse style (within your driving limits) so you don't crash and enjoy watching your model in motion.   I do that all the time.      GL with your decision. 

Some folks frowned when I told them I'm driving my XV01 with the Delta body..  I've driven it countless times outside without crashing.. so it still looks perstine.  I drive my MIniCooper and the other Delta too.

It's the whole not crashing thing that I have to work on!
