That's very sad. I don't know what to say. You and your inspirational work will be missed.

Very sad news indeed.   For the short time I've been "hanging around here", your builds have been nothing short of incredible with a huge touch of "inspirational"!   My thoughts and prayers are with your and your family at this time.

So sorry to hear this. Would love to say something like hope you get better soon but sometimes life is not that simple.

Your builds were an inspiration too.

OMG! At a total loss for words. I don't post on here very much these days, but you've been an inspiration to all of us on here. We've never met and not interacted that much really, but I feel like we all know you so well. Much love out to you and your family.

I wish you comfortable and easy remaining time for you and your family.  I recently thought of another younger member who passed away years ago, also of Shodog. I don't know why I thought of them.  In 20 years, MadInventor is one of a dozen I remember off the top of my head, so this hits the core.  For whatever it's worth, I wish you many small miracles that could help.

As my Navy friends say, Fair Winds and Following Seas. Wishing you a peaceful journey :(.

A heartbreaking message to come back to TC to read. I am another who has been awed by your creativity in the name of fun, which is a noble aim in my view. I wish you and your family all the best and from what I've seen of your exploits in this hobby I suspect you are a great inspiration to them and many others.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I wish you all the best, and hope your days are filled with laughter and love.

You showed us a bunch of stuff we never even thought possible, and our lives are the better for it. Thank you.

So folks, the cancer has finally caught up with  me, I have been put on end of life care by the local hospice.

Its been great fun interacting with you all and thanks for tolerating my non tamiya scratch builds on the tamiyaclub forum.

I have passed my forum account to my son (who at the moment is 11). I hope that if he questions, particularly about parts ID, that you will collectively help him out.

Thanks.

The last 10 years have been a lot of fun.

Goodbye my friends................

Sad to see this :( You are a great person and i wish the best to you and your family.

I've just been pointed in the direction of this post. I will be thinking of you Martin - your scratch builds, advice, and fountain of machining knowledge have been a pleasure to watch over the past 10+ years.

Wishing you and your family strength and peace.
