So folks, the cancer has finally caught up with  me, I have been put on end of life care by the local hospice.

Its been great fun interacting with you all and thanks for tolerating my non tamiya scratch builds on the tamiyaclub forum.

I have passed my forum account to my son (who at the moment is 11). I hope that if he questions, particularly about parts ID, that you will collectively help him out.

Thanks.

The last 10 years have been a lot of fun.

Goodbye my friends................

I've only been here for a short while, but what you have written (and built) has had a great impact on me. Thank you for everything, sir. *bows in respect*

Blimey, that's a gut punch. Thanks for sharing your great builds (especially the epic War Rig) and of course I'm sure all here will help your son with anything he asks. Best wishes to you and your family *Doffs cap

Take care on your final journey.

So sorry to learn this.

Thank you for your insight and your builds, so much fun watching the evolution of the War Rig and more recently, the tractor.

I'll be thinking of you and yours when we build and run the TXT-2 with your hand-crafted gearbox shaft.

@MadInventor Thanks for the very insightful posts.

Tell your son to join in on the forum when he feels lonely.  We'll take good care of him.

Godspeed, man.  Hope to see you again on the forums in the next life.  B)

You will be greatly missed. Your builds have been an inspiration for the 4/5 years I’ve been on the forum . Your approach to the rc world will be sadly missed. If your family need any help I’m sure we will be there to help them.

I'm sorry to see you go, I always find scratch builds to be the most impressive, it takes a lot of work and testing to fabricate something yourself.

Godspeed to the next life, your family will be in our prayers.

Never has a forum username been more appropriate.

Your truly mad inventions and metal fabrications will always be fondly remembered here.

I am not religious but hope that you find peace and comfort surrounded by your loved ones. Rest easy buddy.

Really sorry to hear your news @MadInventor :(

I hope we cross paths again some day on the other side. Don't tell anybody but I've heard even all Tamiya's come with bearings over there too!

Sorry to hear you have to leave. Strenght to you and your loved ones. Scratch builds scare the badword out of me (and many others here on the forum I presume) but you have shown some serious skills and bravery, not to impress but to encourage, thank you for that.
