CC02 2021 FORD BRONCO TIPS

Recommended Posts

Just ordered a CC02 Ford Bronco and a bearing set. From your experiences, are there any must have hop ups I should get before the build? Got the prepainted body so that's one step I won't have to deal with. I have two CC01's and love them but have been curious about this platform and the Bronco body sold it for me. Any suggestions on wheels and tires that won't rub the body? Any tips and tricks would be really appreciated. I can't stop buying Tamiya! Love these things. Really looking forward to some feedback. This will be for light trailing I don't expect it to be a rock crawler. I'll probably keep this one in nice shape. Thanks!

The car is quite lightweight as far as crawlers go, this does wonders for the suspension if you intend to use the kit at moderate speeds. But it’s unhelpful for general crawling/trailing. I ended up adding brass steering knuckles and then internal wheel weights on 1.55” steel wheels and rc4wd crawler tyres. The chassis is a really capable crawler/trail rig then. But it does depend on what you want from the car.

On axle steering servo helps with the bumpsteer.

Thank you I will buy those.

Depending in your wheelbase, look for the CR01 shafts.

yes. I’ll add that if you want to go with a more stock setup, the vertical servo mounting option works better than horizontal.
