That is wild!

How stable is it? I built a WR01 with the narrow TL01 suspension and it rolls over really easy! Trying to remedy this by trying different wheels and extending the axle width.

It is quite heavy, so I didn't push it to the limit. But it is quite stable because it is long and has a low center of gravity.

Consider it more as a crawler than a racer...

They both look fantastic @stamatis and @wolfdogstinkus. Those internals images also look really complicated. How hard is it to connect multiple motors into the system? Do you just use a couple of Y-splitters or is there more to consider?

The dump truck works really well as a body. Great job guys.

Every time I read build threads it adds another item to my mental list of things to try.

Just watched the videos. @wolfdogstinkus, your lad can really control that truck. I thought it was going to role several times and he brought it back. And I was convinced there was no way it was making it up those stairs. Oh and very cool cycle helmet excellent choice :)

I was thinking of getting an affordable 6pcs wheel/tire set to make it look more realistic.

But so far, and after tons or research, WW2 ones appear to be the best option.

Maybe some dual 1.9? Deep dish  rims and tires?

Stock Tamiya Truck ones will look too small?

I know, right? And he's using sticks!!!!. He was 6 years old then but he'd already been piloting a 50mph DT-02 before he could *walk so his skills were way ahead of his years.

*I think we can add talk to that. (Before he could walk or talk)

I couldn't get it on 3 wheels without flipping it.

" Here Dad, hold my sippy cup, I'll show you how to do it!!".    Lol

I ran 3 brushless motors and 3 batteries just to complicate things and then a spaghetti mess of various "Y" leads joining it all up to one receiver.

So I could be using 9s lipo but still only running at 11.1volts.  or 6s but only 7.4 volts.

I used to run 2x2s on the front and a 3s on the back just to make the handling a bit more interesting. Lol

Very cool.  What is the turn radius like on these 6 wheelers?

It depends on the parts you use.  I use TL01 arms, M03 alloy servo saver and horn (#54120). With this setup it is impossible to make a sharp turn. WW2 front assembly would be a lot better

Depends how much you want to turn I suppose?. This would destroy small shrubs at 30mph so you don't really need to turn. Lol. You could have 6ws as well if needed, but I found a bit more power to the back end would help it lose traction at the rear.

Who needs turning anyway?? 😂

You can do interesting donuts on loose gravel but it'll flip over when it finds some grip unless you have the reaction time of a 6 year old boy!!!

Mine did have a body for a while.

It jumped well.

I think I was running silver cans here, but I might be wrong.

@stamatis sorry didn't mean to hijack your thread but this chassis is underrated and needs more exposure.

I had an engine all detailed for it as well with LEDs in the exhaust stacks but never fitted it, I'll have to try and find a picture.
