Wow. I just received mip hex drivers.

For more than a week, i tried to remove pinion screw from a motor with bunch of hex drivers (1.5mm) but couldnt because all drivers were slipping.

Used mip 1.5mm hex driver and.. just worked wow.

These my main RC tools, a Tamiya "Phillips" (but not actually phillips) screwdriver, an old (German I think?) screwdriver, a my main soldiering tool, and a set of "black market" RC hex drivers, which are often re-labled and sold under different names.

The spongy paint brush is used to dust the on-road cars off, since they always pick up a layer of dust from the pavement.

The T wrenches I just toss into different bins with other parts, since they're good to randomly stumble upon.

oooh a Mk4 very nice! How are you finding it?

Big step up from my slightly modified Ender 3, but that's not surprising 😁 It's a kit, so I spent a week building it - while relatively easy (except for cable management which I suck at), it's not as flawless as Tamiya or Lego kits 😁

I only finished it two weeks ago, so I didn't have chance to try out a bigger or more complicated print yet. The smaller prints just worked. Only the WiFi function can be a bit wonky, upload speeds are super slow, not usable for larger files.

Only minor issue I have is oozing of filament during calibration, which leaves dots of material all over the buildplate, especially after filament change.

This is the majority of what I use regularly. In another tool box is the hobby knife, ball cup tools, body reamer etc. A lot of those weren't magnetic. I've also misplaced my body scissors somehow.

You do get what you pay for with these, but ,boy do you pay.....😬 (the reason I've only the 1.5mm)....

Ok, i need to test those MIP i read so much about (and not only in this thread), RCMart had a nice price and only 4$ shipping to Norway (very nice) so placed a order with them.

These are the tools that I use all the time. I invested in a proper RC hauler bag with decent space for tools because I always forget something whenever I go to the track. The bag saves space on my desk and I no longer forget to pack any of the tools

I hide anything I’m not working on in  moment including the project, tools, reference etc. As I do not want visual reminders once I’m doing something else. As a result things become messy quickly. Here’s my fastest access drawer. There’s almost no tools. I guess it explains the bulk of my chassis being TRF kinda well, 2mm hex and a 7.0 box.

@skom25 Did you find the blue tamiya turnbuckle wrench to be helpful with the XV-01 build?

Only if you use aluminium turnbuckles. If you use steel, it is better to use steel version.

"1/14 scale Lathe" ...

Awesome! I have wanted a lathe since I took a machining 101 class at university in the 90's. One day maybe.
