PJ Email today!

Recommended Posts

Did anyone else receive an email today from PJ saying good news we are going to post your order soon?

About two years I ordered a new body for the dual rider from PJ delivered by Japan Post economy shipping, I guess about the time they stopped it, I always thought it was just lost and kind of forgot about it completely..

Anyway, they've cleared it out of the warehouse and it's incoming, no idea if I ordered anything else as like a fool I ordered it as a guest. Good on them for keeping it and honouring my forgotten order!

Now I've something to do again on the dark evenings 🤣🤣

The Japan Post has finally resumed service after 2 years and we have your order ready to ship!!!

image

Plaza Japan is reaching out to you to ensure your address has not changed since the time of your order

Our team has been holding your package for a VERY long time now! It has been over 2 years since the unfortunate and unexpected change in the world that caused so many troubles, but on a positive note, the Economy Shipping services that your order was originally purchased with has now, finally, after a very long wait been resumed!

This means, that the items you purchased from us many moons ago are ready to be dispatched!

There is no additional fees or shipping to pay, we are just simply looking forward to clearing out the packages that have been sitting in our warehouse for such a long time waiting for a new home!

We do need to confirm the shipping address though, if you have moved home since the time of purchase (basically 2 years ago) then we need to update the address.

PLEASE REPLY TO THIS EMAIL AND CONFIRM THE ADDRESS HAS NOT CHANGED AND WE WILL DISPATCH YOUR ORDER TO YOU

If you need to confirm the order details, you can login to your
Plaza Japan account and view the order history, but please note if it was a guest checkout, then it will not be on the system, in this case or if you have any other questions regarding the order, please contact our support team in reply to this email or at info@plazajapn.com and we will assist you.

I don't want to stop your joy about this message but every time I see a message saying "please click the link below" or "confirm something" or something like this my inner alert starts to ring. The email address at the end of the message is different to the one stated on the website of Plaza Japan (there's an 'a' missing in japan). Maybe contact them directly over their website?

But I hope it's a genuine email and you will get your goods. 👍

I just went back and had a look at the email details, all appears ok, correct sender and reply to all my other PJ emails, good spot on the email address, let's see, thankfully I just sent a reply with no address change and nothing else.

Hopefully all ok, but emailed them to check anyway.

Thanks

Nick

Ooh nice. Though for my order, fedex is still cheaper. I would assume japan post is much cheaper for small orders?

Very noble of them to keep hold of people's ordered goods for 2 years, patiently waiting for the customers' preferred shipment method to resume service. I'd be extremely surprised if this were common practice anywhere else in the world. I imagine that they'd say - choose another shipping method, otherwise we'll give you a refund [because we don't want to keep your stuff in storage indefinitely].

Incidentally, did plaza Japan not get in touch with you at the time to say that your chosen shipping method has been discontinued and offer you an alternative?

Isn't that missing a requisite 'a' ?

It absolutely sounds like a scam 😕

It absolutely doesn't sound like a scam (yet).

For this to sound like a scam, it would have to be asking for money, yet they explicitly state that they are not asking for any money, and all they want to know is if the address they have on record is still the same.

Also when they say you can log in to check your details are correct, they don't even provide a (dodgy) link for you to click and be taken to the scammers website. So no scam there either.

By responding to this email with what they've asked for, i.e., either yes or no, they have not gained any more information than they already had.

Granted, it could turn into a scam, for example if they then reply asking for money for some reason, but as it stands, as we see the message, it doesn't sound like a scam at all.

The op already said that the address it was sent from is the correct one, so the one in the message is probably just a typo.

The problem of non native English is that it can quickly sound like a clumsy scam. For instance, when I read "the Japan post has finally resumed their service after two years" I chuckled. But anyway I'll let more scam savvy folks debate the matter 👌

Thank you in advance to the OP for letting us know the outcome.

Settled for now!

The missing dual rider shell and the new pinions on the way!

Only in Japan would this happen!

Wow, that's some Customer Service right there!

I hope you still have the T3-01 and haven't sold it in the meantime!?

That would be just my luck

So was PJ sitting on this order for the past two years, or was your package sitting at Japan Post for two years where PJ didn't have a way to get the package shipped via a different carrier?
