First steps then. I wanted to have a go at a grille rather than the decal so some butchery happened.

I see you painted the black on the outside, what kind of paint is that? Thank you :)

Interested to see how this turns out.

I noticed L&L have added a couple of Celica's and Lancia Stratos recently and been tempted to get one if it wasn't for some many others waiting in the pile :)

What's the decal quality like or are you going to make your own?

Not worked with them yet but they do look good. Much better than the Sunbeam. Was that your Delta in the pics thread?

Excellent, keeping my fingers crossed for you :) , I'm sure it will look great!

Yes, the Repsol one. Its been on the back burner for sometime due to work load, so thought i would get it finished while i had a quiet couple of days.

First real attempt at using my Cricut machine that the wife bought me for Christmas and I'm really impressed at how small you can get it to cut, i.e. the tyre decals etc.

@Yoshimitsu Excellent build and quality 👌

@Tobyone I‘ve been eyeing a cricut for years. Planning to complete a few projects with outsourcing decals first. If you want some Pirelli-Esque Lancia theme decals just reach out. I have more sheets made ( minimum order ) then I’ll ever make Lancias 😂.

Which Circut machine do you have out of interest @Tobyone and how easy is it to learn to use? I do 2D CAD for a living albeit in the construction industry at a much larger scale. Just wondering if it's worth the investment!

Car is looking great so far @Yoshimitsu B)

@ChrisRx718, its the Cricut Explore Air 2.

Its pretty easy to get the hang of. You need to download their software called Design Space, upload your images or you can create them in Design Space but it only has basic shapes etc. unless you want to subscribe and then more are unlocked.

It converts your images to SVG after uploading, so the original needs to be of good quality, you do have the option of simple editing before upload but its limited. Then you size it to what you want, load the vinyl into the machine and cut. Its amazing how small you can cut.

I am really pleased with it and its opened up ways to do different decals that i would have not even thought about before.

I have also used it to produce window masks, panel shut lines of various widths etc.

So I'm calling this done. The L&L shells offer something different to Tamiya and there is some great rally stuff, which I love.

They can be hit and miss though. The decals in particular are prone to overworking. The Tamiya decals just give more and respond better to heat.

I cut out the window and grill for some added detail but in retrospect I wouldn't bother again. It doesn't add much in my opinion.

Anyway back to that Fiat..
