How do you organize / store small parts? (like washer / e-clips / screws).

I've been organizing those parts in a tackle box looking organizers.... but thin parts such as e-clips just sneak through different compartment If I carry around(?). Wondering if there are better solutions to deal with those...

Or maybe I am using not so high quality organizer...?

I’ve seen a few organisers that have a mould in the lid to stop that by kinda locking the dividers in the bottom.
I’d likely bag them in the compartment until I needed a bigger organiser if were you.

The tubes that bearings come in are very handy to fill with washers, e-clips, shafts etc

Then to keep all these tubes accessible together, pop them all inside a clear ziplock bag

There are 3x6/8/10/12/14/16 screws in countersunk head, then the same button head. Then Ti hex screws. Then 3mm and 5mm shims. Then the miscellaneous row of standoffs, E clips and the such.

This box is so important when working on cars!

I have dozens of Ziploc bags in various tubs for ball nuts, turnbuckles, springs, pinions etc. Best not to think of how much money is immobilized in an these 😅

These ones have for me so far kept everything in the right boxes, after I previously had the same problem with small cheaper ones.

They're just a bit of a sturdier build and so the lid fits well. However, shims and e-clips I've kept in little bags in their boxes just to make sure. Washers haven't escaped and they're my next smallest item.

They also allow you to lift out an individual compartment and tip its contents into your hand. No tweezers needed to pick out a part.

I also like that they're big enough to keep a fairly wide variety of parts. Buying two I used all the smallest compartments in one, for small hardware like screws, washers, shims, ball studs, clips etc etc, and it holds all that stuff I have easily. Then the other for mid-sized common parts, electrical connectors and whatnot.
