Action pictures listed under car nr.?

I was wondering... since the club has went through a mayor overhaul lately (looks great btw!), what about the action pics?

The point is, is that when you search for a model, you don't find the action pictures of those models. Maybe 'Action pics' should actually be a catagory such as 'New Built' (not a model number as it is now). Yet, just like 'Extra Info', not count towards the 'model-count' (the ammount of that particular model listed in TC). []

But the problem is, is that with many action pics, that there are more cars featured (TC meeting anyone?), so maybe there is an option that you can include the model nr. of those cars in a database field in the record of the database? That sounds like a good idea to me, I mean, if it's do-able programming-wise... []

Just an idea to make the action pics better find-able... Hope you guys follow up with what I'm saying, maybe I'm not being clear enough... [:I]

You are right it would be handy and you are also right about the reason it hasn't been done so far - ie the action photos contain many many photos which are not just assocaited to one model, exactly the same as with the movies.

I was going to put a free text search box in, but I looked through the descriptions and many people don't mention the models there, so it seemed a bit pointless.

That's OK, my point was jsut that if one searches for a 'Sand Scorcher', that one likely wants to see shelved models, as well as action pictures... []

I think it would be a good idea to exclude Action Pics from the count of number of models in a showroom.

It would be difficult to include all cars in the action pics as a database field, you could have an optional field by each photo for which car it has, but people would need to spend a lot of time selecting when there is a batch of pics. The idea of a search box sounds interesting, but again it relies on people filling it in, and I don't think that's likely to happen....
