Clio Williams on FF02

Hi All,

I recently get a FF02 chassis with a damaged and badly repainted 306 Maxi Body, and I already have the FF02 306 Maxi in condition.

My concern was to build another one body of 306 or keep the FF02 to put another traction car body on it.

My thoughts goes to a Clio Williams body, but there was several troubles to solve :

- No original Tamiya body for a good price

- Wheel Base of Clio is 245mm instead of 257mm for FF02

- Wheels of 306 maxi are nice but really different from Clio Williams design.

 

I solve this issues with the following actions :

- Very good Clio body replica from TeamC, and decals find on ebay

- Design of a center frame 12mm shorter printed in 3D

- Long time watches on several website to find original wheels.

Looks fantastic. With more space and time for projects I've often thought about taking a Team C body (I believe the same as what L&L sell) and painting it in PS59 Dark Metallic Blue with gold wheels. 

Loving the ingenuity of the chassis spacer too. Can the FF03 also be shortened to 245mm?

PS59 painted body with williams gold wheels would be great also !

The main issue is to find wheels because there are very rare, otherwise it is easy to find beautiful body replica.

According to FF03 manual, wheel base of 245mm is available for FF03-M (Rear section assembly).
