did you build both diffs already? if not, then the 2 gb2 gears can be in the unused diff house GB1.

Could you open the diff and tell us which parts you have placed inside there? If you have placed all the gears correctly inside the diffs then a single diff should contain

1 of G1

2 of G2

4 of G3

This would not leave any spare G2 parts for the drive shaft. It suggests you have also got something wrong inside the diffs.

I did some research and yeah GB2 is flat on top. Thanks I will try and find them...

The instructions said to add grease to those gears and they are inside the gear housing. Is that wrong?

I'm sorry I thought we had discussed that, but that was with another member. Some people choose not to use any grease 👍

I see, thanks  I had seen some discussions on here about use of grease and there seem to be varying opinions. I settled for using grease on parts that were sealed in somewhere (like the diff housing) and not using any on exposed parts that could get dirt and grit stuck in the grease more easily. If it turns out I need to redo it all I'll just have the fun of taking it all apart and a rebuild, twice the building fun for the money

 

@JimD9999, have you had any luck fixing your problem swapping out gears, if so what turned out to be the exact problem in the end?

I was using a G2 gear instead of the GB2 gear...
