It's like they are going for a reverse Black Friday sale. They jack up the prices when people are shopping for the holidays. All I can hope is that this is temporary.

You saw what I posted earlier about their customer service, right?   :lol:   It is only day 2 of this new promo and how would they know whether their customers are enjoying this or not..?    Did you all receive a survey and immediately responded that you love the deal?   Or immediately placed an order?  I sure didn't..  I hit the brakes, full stop.   Items are still in my cart.

I would careless for places with not so great service that i buy stuff maybe once in my life time. But if the business is built around relationships and start treating customers like that, i just stop giving business to them. I’d rather spend my money on places that provide better service and treat me as a human being(bit exaggerated, but you get the point).

Just by looking at the accent, it seems like horizon is outsourcing their CS department(which is pretty common), but if they don’t realize quality of their services (or even worse, they know it and dont care), i dont know what to say.

The "Thank You" line says it all...   you sent the email to tower hobbies, and got the reply from horizon hobbies.

For a time, I'd see Horizon jack up prices on Arrmas over at Amain only to have "sales" that dropped them to their original prices. Wouldn't surprise me if they did that again.

Here's the real kicker, over at Amain you can still get discount codes on most of Horizons products (Arrma, Losi, etc).

Well that's a good point...how do I ensure that the Tower membership does NOT renew when my current interval expires?  The site just says mine will "expire," but no option anywhere for "cancel membership".

Yes, I support Diversity and Inclusion for anyone with real talent, but this is where duds abused the movement by thinking they have some sort of right to be included even though they suck at what they do.. and companies over compensated by taking in pretty much just anyone after the pandemic due to labor shortage.  

But I believe this is only a phase and at some point, companies will realize they can't keep this up and become more decisive.. I hope.. :ph34r:

Honestly I am surprised Horizon kept coupons this long. After the take over, I figured it would be gone asap.  I guess I won't be renewing my tower club member in December

You have to actively rebuy the membership.  No auto renew, at least not that I know of.

I made my first step in defecting from Tower, and placed an order with Amain on Friday. They had a decent little discount available, but best of all they shipped within 24 hours. I should have a package when I get home from work today, meanwhile I'm still waiting on some "In Stock" items from my last run of Tower orders placed weeks ago. The discounts will be missed, but the waiting and wondering game will NOT be missed. Also, I notice some Tamiya models on Amain that aren't available on Tower, so that's cool.
