You know, my British manager threatened to withdraw my WFH/hybrid work privileges if I do not have an workspace "approved" by the handbook and the sit on floor way is not in the book. It does not matter that I had done it without problems for my entire life and studies had shown it can be better for one's health, it is just not in the handbook. So I had to make up a work station to show him how I can work "safely". 🤷

Wow…

Sit on floor, work on coffee table (or something similar). That is how I WFH or make models. So I sit for 8 hours on the floor WFHing and then more model making. Oh, breaks for meals are also...sat on the floor. 😉

Maybe I should just get on with that Atedai (japanese bench for woodworking) that I have been thinking of doing ... Would be easily stowed under the bed or propped up behind something. Oddly enough, I need less table space when I am working sitting down on the floor (and not because I put books etc on the floor itself - it has something to do with perception and working angles or something, no idea).

How essential is the wife? They do take up a lot of room and money to think of it... worth considering.

I was going to say something similar, but I didn't, cause I would never do that, I wouldn't.
I'm far too classy.
So, don't get rid of the wife (WINK!!)!!!

I am also asian and can sit on the floor decent amount of time, but americanized life style changed that for a bit.

      Hi Jon,
In the linked image, I've simply moved the bar forward until it is centered directly over the rear shock tower (approx. 10.72mm) and kept the same height.  Is this what you had in mind?
