Me too. Only got one just recently and it's a nice solution, especially to removing them which is I think where other methods are an annoyance. Although I didn't get it from the UK.

I just broke mine being too heavy-handed. The plastic handle snapped.

Waiting on another one from Plaza Japan, but my order has been stuck on "processing" for over 2 weeks now

If I buy from Rcjaz will I get hit with VAT and PO handling charges?

None in the U.K. hence the question 😳

I think unlikely. I haven't been hit with additional charges ordering from RCJaz, from a handful of small orders and one recent big one (a kit). That's where I got my tool from.

I didn't even know what a cir-clip tool was.    In the USA we call them e-ring tool.  I have one, but don't use it.. I use a flat jaw long nose by Xcelite.  Works great.

Yeah P&P is quite a lot, so I have tended to wait til there are a few things I want. They are quire good for lots of things, RCJaz, and the starting price for P&P is not at PJ levels.

I spent so much last month on rc, that small spends only will be the way forward for now 😂

Isnt a circlip something completely different to an e-clip?

I think the thread is about the E rings (another term for the E-clips) commonly used on suspension pins and shock shafts, not circlips.

And it's well established that the Tamiya tools fits the Tamiya E rings like a glove (who would have thought!) but the thread is now at the rambling stage, which I am contributing to 😬

I used to have a Roche F1 Evo formula 1 chassis and the 3mm kingpins were using different kind of E rings that required a different tool than the Tamiya ones. They were slightly larger on the outside although they were fitting the same groves on the kingpins.
