Time for 2 new forums? Please read.

I've a number of requests for these recently and just wanted to see what the rest of your think. Personally I think they are a good idea and will help make the forum more tidy and usuable.

Basically I'm talking about creating two new forums

Nitro Stuff (please feel free to suggest a better name)

and

Tractor Trucks and Tanks (this may split later on depending on how much they get used.)

So who would use them?

I would like there to be a decent tractor truck forum as I think its something that a lot of people could benefit from.

On this site there is a lot of people that have these trucks and some very fine pieces of work that could lead to some shared knowledge and ideas.

Sounds good to me. I'm a nitro newbie so a forum dedicated to all things smelly and noisy and fast would be handy. Tractors and tanks aren't really my scene, but I agree it's a good idea to have a forum specially for them, much like the Clodified Monster Truck forum which has been very useful to me.

I know its more forums but just thought thats better than just a few overloaded forums where actually finding the info you want becomes a mammoth task?

Number of forums is not an issue, as long as its clear what goes where. Its even less problem if you use the Active Topics feature.

What about a "best off" forums with reference to the best articles published. This would include :

striping paint,

replacing hilux bearings,

insider information,

motor number of turns,

general howtos,

etc...

What is known as Nitro in the UK is known as Gas in North America

which struck me as kinda silly as what is known as Petrol in the UK is known as Gas in North America, oh and what is known as Gas in the UK is called Natural Gas in North America.......

I get so confused

But yes, I think a gas/ nitro forum would be great.

It is a good idea however the more specific the forums become the more narrowed your interest become. Rather than click on one or two topics to have a lot covered you will have to click on many topics to see the whole field. Inevitably I will just end up brousing the ones that are most specific to me, in a way I feel that I lose out to gaining some insight into other areas of interest.[]

Although this is a double edged sword because nobody wants to click on a forum and have to scan a bunch of topics they have no interest in, thus more topics. [8)]

Drop the Stuff and go with Nitro's.

A "Fuel Powered" forum would be excellent.

I cant see there being enough interest in just a tank forum though to be honest....of course I could be wrong.

I have come here and searched quite a bit to find specific nitro info, and have found that it is one thing that is a bit lacking on the sire, so haveing a dedicated forum would be great IMHO

I like the idea of a Truck tank forum and a Nitro forum. I would also like to see an SRB (sand Scorcher, Rough Rider, ranger, Superchamp) forum

I'm all for a Tank / Truck forum but it doesn't necessarily mean that it will be the only forum I will look at.

At the moment I've only got a truck and tank but i'm interested in all the Tamiya models nitro/electric and I read all the mails whatever they are about.

im all for it chris, iv always tried to get into nitro but it was hard to find ant ifo about them, and i have an rc tank so go, go, go thats what i say.
