The Genova and mid are still easy to find. I actually ordered the mid but it didn't arrive yet

The avante 2011  I think and especially the xls are harder to come by unless you are willing to get a call from the bank ..

i will proably not have any money left for a radio a ESC a motor or any other electronics

There's no need to rush.  It's cheaper to get the right equipment from the start than doing little steps.  GL with your endeavor!  👍

almost a year has past since I started this thread

my dream 4WD 3 car collection stays the same. At this time, 2 are super easy to get  (optima mid and avante) and 1 (the xls), if you are not a purist, seems like a procat with some modifications would yield an xls clone.
the only thing I must change is the 2WD choice. I guess I do not have a solid opinion on what would my perfect 2WD would be...

if I had to pick a 2WD car today, maybe the new rc10 JH Edition? but again, I assume my mind has not settled yet. maybe I am just a 4WD kind of guy

I'm with you on preferring 4wd. As a kid I always opted for 2wd, as they were cheaper. But all along I was dreaming of Supershots and Avantes...

Morning. I am new here and still leaning the ways of the forum.  

 For me being old. I would go top force evo instead of the avante .  But bosscst works (with symetric chassi) over the xls

With the re-re of the 870c, I now have them all, an original Turbo Mid SE, An original XLS (awaiting resto), a re-re Avante and a re-re 870c (still to be built)
