Hi all, I’ve not posted on here much yet but it’s been a mine of useful info and tips for me in the run up to building these two trucks with the kids.  I hoped they would get into it and they did in a massive way, they led building their trucks and I was on hand to help rather than do it for them.  Really chuffed with the results too :)

Only change from stock is bearings so far, 3D printed transmission brace and body mounts have been ordered and should be here soon.  Other than that going to let them get used to running them as they are and we can look at other hopups later.

Only downside is I don’t have one so I think a Blackfoot could be on order next payday for me!  I spent most of my childhood wanting a Tamiya RC and it was as much fun as I could have hoped for.

First proper outdoor run was yesterday, they (and I!) loved it.  Already got the first job to do, the ESC has a deans connector but the battery is tamiya with a tamiya/deans adaptor in between.  We all hate the tamiya plug already so it’s getting chopped for a straight deans onto the battery.  I searched on here and see that’s not an uncommon complaint!
