Why do people disallow comments in the showrooms?

There are plenty of showroom entries that I would like to comment on, even just to say "nice job" but if comments are not allowed I can't. I don't really want to send emails except in special circumstances.

It's not as if people have no control about which comments they make visible or not...?

Would it not be better to have them automatically on, and if people dont want comments to turn the option off? Sorry Chris I know thats more work just wondered what others think, as I believe most people want comments just some dont know that option is there.

Any comments i've recieved come to ME 1st via e-mail so IF i don't like/want it i just decline it which i've never had to do YET []
