I received this beauty today, need to bind it to the receivers...

And learn how to program it to my benefit :D

the radio looks pretty cool, especially for the price. Curious to hear what you think about it after the race

I found some time today to start the rebuild of the DT-02. One of the hop ups is the 53831 Aluminium Motor Heatsink.

Probably completely overestimating the effect of this blue gem but I assumed it had to be used without the "motor plate". The instructions state to use it between the motor and the motor mount...

Thinking about it I could understand when the instructions say to use the motor plate between the motor mount and the gearbox to protect the plastic gearbox from heat but using it between the motor and the motor mount feels just wrong.

This is exactly what I did. TorqueTuned, 0.8 pitch 19T steel pinion and the gearbox is complete.

Progress. Not much but progress.

Need to bind the receiver and center the servo before I do anything else.

Alu 8mm hexes

Chassis is ready. Electronics need definitive installation.

And next (hopefully this weekend) these become the "finishing touch".

Sorry to bungle in on your splendid build ... but the (paper) motor plate ... there is a possible, additional hop-up, the aluminium Tamiya 84293 motor plate. Metal on metal, as dear old Kraftwerk would have it. ;)

Another blue aluminium gem that somehow escaped my radar until now.

This how far I got on the DT-02, no actual testing done yet + final placement of electronics still to do

And the Wild One looks like this now;

and has been tested but with other wheels/tires. Electronics on this are ready and when the weather coöperates it will be tested again this weekend for final adjustments.

Will use the prepainted shell as the Terra Scorcher still needs paint...
