My crystal ball is in the repair shop and my magic 8 ball is being uncooperative so I'm going to guess a return of the B2B Racing Sidecar and the all-to-often demanded Sonic Fighter.

I expect a BB-01 based 2WD truck at some point in the future.

Personally I would rather see an updated version of The Super Hornet or The Striker (assuming the Striker chassis would not be as fragile as the original one).

I'm not going to make any predictions, and also not going to wish for anything since there's way more stuff on my wishlist than I can realistically afford already - I desperately wanted a Squash Van when they were announced but already it's looking like a distant dream, so please Tamiya, don't make anything more that I want..?

That said, and as others have mentioned, it would be nice to see some new body options on the TD series, and of course the BB.  It would be great if we eventually had a small fleet of BB options.  Someone mentioned a truck body above - I hadn't thought of that, but I guess it would lend itself well to an early Baja truck.

OK, here's an interesting notion...

The original BFG Chevy Blazer on which the Blazing Blazer was modeled was actually 2WD, with long-travel independent front suspension. The Tamiya Blazing Blazer had a wheelbase of 287 mm.

The BBX is 2WD, with long-travel independent front suspension, and a wheelbase of 283 mm.

BB-02 = Blazing Blazer 2? C'mon, Tamiya; you know you want to...

Well, if they don't do it, surely one of us must!

Edit: what a project idea! You can get a lexan open topped Chevy K5 shell by Axial, which I assume would be 313mm wheelbase. I suspect some 3d printing could stretch out the BBX to nearly that, maybe even just at the arms (accepted, perhaps not ideal in performance terms - maybe the gearbox can be moved back instead; the trailing arms could certainly be moved back on mine).

The Axial Blazer is... not good. I have one, and the proportions just aren't right. Wrong generation, anyway. Better to spend the money and start with an RC4WD hard Blazer body, which should be the correct wheelbase.

Oh that's a bit of a shame. I'm more of a <£50 lexan than a £180 hard shell kinda guy. Looks like RC4WD stuff is a lot more money in the UK than US.

Sorry to derail thread! 😉

You know what I want to see? A Striker re-re. Why? Why not?

I have always loved the Stiker even though I know it's not that good. That and the Futaba variant. If Tamiya came out with a Stiker I'd order one the first day it was available.

What I would love to see is a DT03 complete with parts availability. A Keen Hawk if I could be so bold.

Really hope they come up with something good for TD2/4. It's such a great chasses to drive, but looks so awful!

I think the basic chassis shape may inhibit vastly nicer body types.  truggy might work

Db01 or a fixed up Db02...would love a Db02.  Missed out on those when originally released.  Or a striker with the reinforced plastics - yes they broke alot but were great looking on the track,

I hope not, Ive just paid a bit too much for an original

Yea and i have some b parts (rear gear Box for f Version) coming my way that i'd have overpaid. Other than that it'd mean endless Budget friendly spares for me andy maybe a nice body ? But those we have from the tt02 anyway (lancer, focus, escort, etc. Pp). The ta03fs 236 wb would be cool though, with a Corolla body e.g...

I paid over because I just needed the Pennzoil R34 GTR in the collection, so found a 58239 which is the shell on a TA03F
