Looks like the little brother of the XV02.

It definitely is. Good for tinkerers like me, for several reasons:

- Separated rear part of the chassis would make custom XV-02 chassis possible

- suspension arm mounts are same as XV-02 and XV-01 - which means that XV-01 can now be converted to M-chassis.

Citroën DS is a very beautiful car. But: If a DS is to fit on an m-chassi, it must be 1:12 scale?

Yes, with 3114mm WB and 1791mm width, it should be on BT-01, not MB-01.. maybe it's a mistake?

EDIT: I noticed it on the photo with other m-chassis. It is a 1:12...

wonder if an XM-01 RS Pro on road version will follow? I hope so 😁

According to Kentech's post, the suspension should allow for 2 ride height settings

Me too. Nothing there that tickles me fancy. Except for the Black Clod. I was really hoping for a new TD4 or something like that.... Seems very on road focussed this year. (Yes I know the Mini XV02 is off road, but it'll probably be like most rally m-chassis cars off road)

However, thinking again, a 4wd Opel Cadet would be nice as an on road car....

I'm just interested in the "Baja" Bronco, the Citreon and Opel look nice but I don't like the MB chassis. The 1998 NSX shell was a hot ticket for the super competitive TCS guys.

I'm waiting for the XM-01s price to be $250 or something crazy. Just $20 short of the recent "rally" Kyosho Fazer.

It will be much better than M05Ra/MF-01. Inner arm pivots are closer to the diff, outer ones are closer to the wheel, so the front arms are about twice as long. Plus, XV-02 has raised center of the chassis, so the ride height should be good as well. My only concern is battery position and resulting CG. And tires.

Jadlam has Manta Ray for £148.45 pre-order. That looks decent.

Looking at Tamico's FB page, is the Manta Ray coming back?

I am more than happy that this will be re-released. A good friend of mine growing up got one for his Birthday when the original was released and I was so jealous. Previous to this we just had one attached to a wire.

Yeah XM-01 looks fab but I'll have to find it at half of RRP to actually buy one!

Perhaps wait for a Tamico sale - it will likely still be over the minimum order value threshold :D

I did think of Tamico!

I can't remember where I got my XV-02 kit from but that was reduced plenty, so it does happen. I think I will pick this up if I see one at a really good price. It is probably also the case that this would need no hop ups at all, so there's £50 of value right there.

Mine would get my MKII escort shell. In white with a bit of blue I think, but in a privateer sort of way rather than a known livery. Or possibly Fiat 131 box art (if mine ever arrives).

I like your ideas @BuggyDad

I have a Monster GoPro Super Swift body that has been destined for an MF-01X in the build queue (the Escort body is going on my M-08R) but I likely would upgrade it to the XM-01Pro.
