I may be the only one here, but I think the other makes section could use some more brands. I know this is Tamiya Club, but I think it would be better if more brands were able to be classified. It would be easier to find models that the membership has outside of the Tamiya realm. Far less cars classified as misc.

Here are some brands I can think of. They may not be as known in the uK, but these are the other makes I can think of off the top of my head.

Xray Makers of competitive touring cars.

Trinity Much like Xray, and obviously a big motor/ hop-up manufacturer.

HPI Very popular brand, body detail is only second to Tamiya.

Ofna More of an import/rebadging outfit where all of their kits come from two manufacturers, Hong Nor and Ho Bao.

Duratrax A newer brand, sort of the wheeled division of Hobbico, who makes planes in addition to random r/c gear. This one is a little self serving since I have a few Duratrax rtrs from when I started out in r/c. [}:)]

Bolink Like the u.S. version of Mardave basically. Mostly pan cars and oval-track racers. They've been around since the late 70's but recently went out of business.

Corally Like Xray and Trinity. I think they makepan cars too, but I could be mistaken.

Cen Don't know much about Cen. I think they're a rebadging house like Ofna. They have a lot of gas models.

RadioShack/Tandy I don't expect you to add this at all since RadioShack sells are toy cars. I'm just being selfish once again since I have an Xmod [:P]. The Xmod is at least as good as the Mini-Z, and I know a few people in TC have them.

Robbe Vintage brand that I was surprised isn't in the other makes section already.

Anyway, I'm sure there has to be some I left out. I think adding more makes would make searching for all r/c models easier on the site. It would definitely make browsing better, as you could come upon an interesting model easier when looking within a specific brand. Obviously it would cut down on the population of actual models in the Misc. section. Once again, I may be the only one who thinks adding more brands is a good idea. Chris, it's your site, so obviously you have the final say, but I'd love to see everyone's opinion.
