Radio Shack Black Phantom

I'm looking for help to resurrect an old RC Black Phantom, motors run but no control from transmitter. When I switch on both receiver and transmitter the motors run immediately. Any ideas?

Most of the Radio Shack, Tyco ,Nikko and other of these cars usually have printed circuit boards that act as all in one type.

A lot of people who restore or resto-mod these models retrofit inexpensive hobby grade components.

Thanks for the feedback, Any ideas where I can get a replacement printed circuit board from and how to know I get the correct one?

Many thanks for the info. I obviously need a lot more knowledge but I  will persevere until I've got it sorted.
