Shape of lower arms

Recommended Posts

I've seen them before and always assumed they were anti-sway bar link mounts.

But, your arm seems to have a lot of them so maybe I'm wrong?

I also think they're either for anit-sway bars or for shock mounting if that particular arm is a common part used on other chassis.   My XV-01 has two of them as well.

They are on my TT02SR, XV02 and XV01.  I haven't found any reference to them being used to install stabilizers / sway bars. Maybe they exist due to production methods?

These are arms of some  older TRF cars (417, 418?) And on those cars these are attachment point for swaybars.

So you mount the ball connectors of the stabilizers on the "integrated" ball heads?

On some of the older trf cars indeed. But if i am correct these balls are smaller then  the normal 5mm balls.  These arms are used on several modells and on some the stabilizers are mounted on normal 5 mm ball mounts

On the XV chassis, they’re for mounting the swaybars. I’d assume the same for others.

Thank you all for your answers. I couldn't imagine that these integrated ball heads would be sturdy enough to attach anything to. The only stabilizers I installed years ago were attached with separate ball head screws.  Now I've become a little wiser again. :)
