Bit of a conundrum here:

In my ongoing build thread for my M-03 resto, I've ended up with the old M-03 I was supposed to restore being completely surplus. I've therefore decided to put this one back to completely original condition. Now, when I got it it had a mechanical speed controller and servo fitted, and I thought it would be nice to put this back too.

The problem I'm having is - how? I've got a photo of what it looked like:

but looking through all the manuals for M-03, none of them show how to fit it.

Does anyone have any idea how it was done? It didn't involve drilling the chassis from what I can see.

Any help very much appreciated. :)

If I remember right (and it's been 20+ years, mind) it's like the TL01, which had two L-shaped plastic brackets that attached to one half of the chassis, probably the right, since I don't see holes for them on the left. The servo sits on two standard servo blocks, also attached to the right side of the chassis. Take a look at the TL01 manual, or maybe FF02 (same chassis with an extension) and see if they show it.

Bizarrely the MSC instructions always came in a separate printout / insert, so they don't appear in even the oldest scans of M-03 manuals.

Now, there's a guy selling the instruction manual on eBay(!) but he has taken a series of pictures. These might tell you all you need to know?

All of the screws are M3 x 10mm, so you can't really go wrong! Part C14 (x2) support the PCB itself then as @markbt73 says, regular servo posts fixed through the rear positions. Simple really!
