One of my german mates suddenly diappeared from TC! The last sign of life was when adding the beautiful chromed Hornet and the red wheeled Grasshopper in first half of may (to name just a few). He was one of the guys who was ALWAYS online, when I logged on to TC and now he just disappeared for months?? Seem a little long for vacation. Technical.Burp and me already tried to reach him by mail or phone several times but with no success.

I have his adress. Should I write him a letter? Yes, he was quite often logged on here on tc but that does not mean that he is or was always sitting in front of the computer. I have even called a number in Pfaffenhofen but the person I was speaking to denied him and told me that I must have typed the wrong kind of number - a thing that usually happens quiet often she said... According to her voice she could habe been his mother.

I know this means nothing, but I checked his eBay feedback, and he last received feedback on the 26th may, and left feedback on the 12th May [:o]

Maybe he is just checking to see how much we would miss him when he is gone. Or maybe he is one of those lucky few who found a cure to the wide-spread Tamiya virus (yeah, RIGHT). It could be that he is unconcious of all the paint fumes after building all those great models. Or maybe a secret Tamiya museum has kidnapped him, and forces him to build museum quality models for evil purposes.

It's all a conspiracy, I know it. [;)]

dunebuggy71 lives in pfaffenhofen? that's not even 20 km away from me. so if someone got the right adress of him i can go there and look whether he is ok.

Yesterday I sent a registered letter with advice of delivery[}:)] to Dunebuggy71 and asked if he could give us a life sign. I'm not sure about the adress that I used. It could be his home one or work adress. I will keep you updated. tc-investigative.de[:o)]

Still no reply from Dunebuggy71. I guess we lost him. What a shame. It's not very polite that he did not react to any of our attempts to contact him. A simple statement, saying that he thinks that tc is harmful to him* or so would have been enough and no one would have bothered him.

* We all know that this hobby can be addictive[xx(], don't we?

Can't one of you guys go round to his house and find out if he's ok??

I don't know Dunebuggy71 personally, but I work just a few kilometers from his home, which I understand is in Pfaffenhofen(?)

If anyone would give me his address, I can certainly go there. I realise that he may not want contact with other TC-members anymore, so I will be very careful and polite, so no worries!

He obviously does not want us to contact him. He is still alive and able to sign the return slip of a registered letter (Rückschein).

So I am not sure if he really would be glad if some of us would come to visit him.

Many Thanks for the care about me. You are all a real family.

I apologize to all the guys who mailed me in the last month and didn´t got an answer.

I had a case of death in my family. One of my brothers died by an motorcycle accident. [:(] It was so hard for me, i couldn´t take a hand on a Tamiya model or a look on the TC-Site.

Again, sorry to all who contacted me in this time. But I am back again now and open to all requests and answers like before.

By the way, I don´t live in Pfaffenhofen. I live in Kaisheim, near Donauwörth.

Hello all and dunebuggy71 in particular, well this is good and sad news at once. Great to hear that you still want to be an active tamiyaclub member. My condolences for your brother, that's really heavy stuff. You have no idea how many reasons we discussed as a reason for you to leave tamiyaclub....[8D]
