For those who may have crossed paths (virtually or in real life) with WillyChang over the last 20+ years, FYI he passed away at the end of 2023 after a battle with a debilitating cancer.

R/C cars and in particular Tamiyas played a major part of his life. He joined a new fangled tamiyaclub website in 2002 (as the 104th member - PandaBear) and actively participated in this and other r/c forums over the years.

More recently he had been working in a local hobby shop in Melbourne, Australia and co-hosts a few of their videos such as this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=To_8SwTdEro

His favourite model was arguably the Wild Willy, and several of his friends and colleagues helped to send him off in style with several Comicals, headed by Will's WW2.

RIP Panda

Forever with us in RC.  I still have some Panda Grafix sticker sets and had some great chats with Willy.  Super helpful guy that  will be missed.  Thank you @kiasukid for giving notice.

RIP. That name was one of the first I noticed when I started reading this excellent forum (quite some time before I signed up). Sad to see another one go due to cancer.

I saw on a showroom post that he had passed, but I wasn't sure when.  He was very helpful to me some years ago when I was starting out designing my own decals, and I remember seeing his name a lot here.

Ride forever free in that bouncy big-wheeled Jeep, WillyChang - you will be missed.

Rest in peace Willis. Thank you for your contribution to the hobby (many forums) and may your memory and advice live on through TamiyaClub. You will be greatly missed.
