Chris, I've been leaving a few comments on movies recently and it loses my user name. I left one on mooseys vid this afternoon from my works laptop and it lost the username again???? This is happened on 3 different PC's now all running different OS's, different service packs and browsers.

Any ideas?

Are you still logged in...??? Sometimes, i find that i have to re-enter my email address and password. I dont know why...it just does it. When i am logged out and i try and leave a comment on someones showroom it shows the comment but not my username.

Well at all times it appears that I'm logged in because it shows me as logged in in the top corner. However, when I leave a comment in either the showrooms or the movies it has been losing my username - hence in mooseys movie comments my comment appears with a blank after the 'by'.

I have this happen many times and it seems to be getting worse. I use my works laptop most of the time and that has just been upgraded to service pack 2.

I thought the username was taken from the session cookie which is still there, I don't delete them half way thru a session on TC so I am baffled.....

Is there a session timeout issue on the server? This mostly happens on movie comments and it may be that I download a movie and watch it (and mooseys was a big 6 minute one) and then go back in to write the comment. This is when it almost always loses it.

I know Snitz cookies forget your status after about 20 minutes of inactivity, but that seems to have shortened on TC recently. After 5 mins or so of doing nothing, all posts in the forums appear as new, which normally means the cookie has expired. Has the session timeout on the server been decreased by any chance?

Lots of trouble with cookies timing out since Windows patched itself a couple of weeks ago on my machines. Nothing on the Microshaft site though...

It was definately a timeout issue.

Every comment I've made since has been fine because I refresh the movie page before leaving the comment.
