Wow, you have all three kits!

Ive got the Nissan too which is my favourite of all of then, thanks to @Fuijo atlthough its in the smaller re re box. It has much more detail on the shell compared to the others.

That is interesting, since the C11 kits you can buy today do come in the old school large box.

Ok,thats intrigued me now! I thought the new C11 black coloured box was smaller like the modern TT02 type box where everything is bagged under the shell. Does the new box come with a cardboard divider and parts box like the old style kits do?

Yes, they do! There is a grey cardboard box for all the kit parts, and another smaller one for tires, etc. It was a nice surprise but then Horizon could not find a suitable box to ship the Tamiya box in and they shoehorned it in a marginally suitable box which buckled the Tamiya box

Not a huge deal as I am not a Mercedes fan but still kind of annoying when your things arrive already damaged.

Your outdoor track would be absolutely perfect for it. The pod and bathtub are adjustable and can be set as high as 10mm ride height (which is ridiculously high) while the front frp chassis part starts at 10mm (new tires) and melts down gradually to around 6mm as the tires wear out. In comparison, a standard TC or M chassis outdoor setup is 6mm.

There has to be some method to the madness, or is that madness to the method, of putting the kit with the most parts in the smallest box.

The Nissan is my favourite too. Detailed multi-part wheels with painting instructions and stickers, cockpit with driver figure, mirrors, and a shell that is actually the correct width for the chassis (yes, I'm looking at you Mazda 787b).

Why didn't the others get all this? That's rhetorical btw.

I do have a spare painted R91CP re-re body I might part with. Apologies, but only for forum members or main-site members who have been around for a while, because it will need to be paypal F&F probably after I've already sent it. Particularly to the US, which is a bit of a pain

at the moment with PostNL. So some trust will be needed both ways. It would be rude I guess not to give the OP first shout as it's his thread. Anyway, PM if interested.

The Tamiya Nissan R91CP is really nice i think!:

But i love the Nissan 300ZX Steve Millen body also.

By the way, Blue/Red/White, was that sort of an Team color for Nissan/Datsun?

My Tamiya Datsun 280ZX is also in that colors on the box art.

Being such a big, wide, flat car, you can run a lot more ground clearance than you would be able to with taller and/or narrower cars, without it trying to roll over on you. If you have somewhere to run a touring car or M-chassis, you can definitely run a Group C there too.

If you do some of the mods that we have done to your Group C, it will have a fair few parts in common with the F104 Pro II, and then it would make sense for you to have both, sharing a common spares stash. 😁
