It does! I'm leaving for the airport though so I'll take a look on Thursday if that's ok. I am sure everyone is itching to get a start and I apologize.

Then the map would be like this. Batteries are charging ATM for this weeks last attempt on the normal Postal Racing track.

Nice one! Let the round commence!

Anyone have a preference for when to close it, or shall we see how we get on like we did last time?

Imarked up the course on Wednesday, made a few erends and would run on the way back. Meanwhile it had started raining. What to do with 2 full shorties? Just run. I had only brought the Carten and it was on slicks,  so this was so lala. At least I did not spin. I chose to slide around marker 4, like I do with the rally cars on the smaller course. Good fun and nice to see that the skills have improved after running rally cars over the winter, but efficient?

Anyways; I got a result and that's fine. The car is working flawlessly with the new spur and pinion (and taller gearing). Now it has the steel spur of the rally M210, so it should last a while.

I have been campaigning my TC-01 Mercedes CLK GTR this round, and either by virtue of it being a superior car, or because I have had a fair bit of practice with it now, it consistently out-performs what used to be my quickest touring chassis - my carbonated TB-03 and TT-02 Type S.

I am also getting quicker with my Group C, but the TC-01 still gets more laps being easier to drive.

@TurnipJF.I'm happy to see that. Iam also curious about how the TC-01 does on the smaller course and if it can beat your massive lapcount from last time. We have all improved since then and so has our equipment B)

The only thing which has gone downhill is my eyesight, but I am confident that I will at least get close to my previous record. 🤓

Everyone submitted their lap counts for this round? I'll be collating them later today, so if you still have counts to submit, please do so ASAP!

Another two-horse race, but this time my horse was the faster. I suspect that the wet conditions that @Andreas W was faced with had more to do with my victory than my driving skill though. :)

Sorry guys couldn't enter this month 😔

Glad you are keeping this alive. The bigger tracks are seriously fun.

Hehe. The Carten is super fast now in the improved version,  but on an even longer course I think your TC-01 will have it as a side meal for the tea when you get it dialled in ^_^

Hi everyone, is this series still going on? I've just discovered this randomly on Google, read through the thread, and signed up to the website. I currently don't have a car that will fit in any of the classes, or a spot to run, but have been looking for an excuse to get a group C for a while (or maybe I'll just find a suitable body for one of my cars but that's a bit boring). Anyway, enough of my blabbering. I'd love to know if things are still active as it looks like a blast :)

I think it's making a small hiatus,  since there were very few of us that was doing it. Another Group C is welcome.

For me,  I am not finished doing this. I have an XV-01 dedicated to this in the making with a proper Impreza NBR body and a second body for the Carten M210R,  so it gets a proper 24h Nürburgring body.

Indeed, the series is on hold for the moment as people were having difficulty finding the time and space to enter.

If there is enough interest, it can be started up again without issue. I too have a couple of cars that I would very much like to run.

Sounds like I need to find a spot to run and get a car sorted in preparation.

@Andreas W, I always like the idea of a touring xv01 as kind of a homage to the ta03f, so I'd love to see how yours gets going.

I’m trying to figure out how big a track this is? How large are the blocks on the drawing?

They are no particular size. The lengths are center to center. I have earlier used flat rubber markers,  as they use for football training. I nowadays only use chalk or marker spray and make a det large enough to be visible.  No reason to sort of limit yourself making the course tighter than it is.

How can you call it a race then  if everyone is running to a different size track?

I get your point,  but this is not all that serious. As I see it the course is the same, given that the distance of the markers are the same from center to center. Then it's up to each on to choose a type of markers they prefer. Some type of flat marker is an advantage, so you don't have something to crash into or that can flip the car (like cones do). Also that they stay put for the entire 30 minutes without moving because of wind or that you cut a corner.

I agree that it would have been more similar,  if we agreed on a track width and each and every one of us marked all that up. But then we are talking a lot more effort and the problem here has been that people struggle to find time and a spot to do this. It's also not in the nature of this activity,  that should be low effort, not all that serious and first and foremost just fun.

This is not up to me, as I am not giving the terms here. I am only a paticipant who have tons of fun doing it:).
