stulec52 54 Posted March 19, 2024 Hi all Recently picked up a very nice Blazin' Blazer, but the tires are a little cracked. I seem to remember picking up a set of tires for my Wild Willy a couple or three years ago, but for the life of me I can't remember from where. Anyone know where I could find a set these days? Thanks !
JimBear 1307 Posted March 19, 2024 I don't have a Wild Willy or a Blazin' Blazer, just happened to read this thread a while ago: --- where it seems like the person who did spare tyres just don't do them anymore (for whatever reason). Maybe someone else knows better ... or has other leads in your search.

I had put the address on my watchlist and checked every few weeks. After several months, he had them in stock. https://www.ebay.com/itm/272674549143 My sense was that he just produces a few dozen at a time. But I see that his last feedback was like a year ago. I hope he survived the Covid mess.

Think I was one of his last buyers, I bought 4 of them, 8 were in stock then. Today I blame myself not to have bought more. Hope we'll see him back soon 4

stulec52 54 Posted March 19, 2024 Thanks everyone. I did message the guy, eBay has this thing where they don’t let you send any contact info to get in touch directly, so I’ll wait and see if he replies. Failing that I’ll keep looking for folks selling them.

It's a pity, that these tires aren't available any more. I would also like to get one or the other set. Cheers Martin
Mouc-RC 880 Posted March 20, 2024 1987... I was... Five. Did not even know about Tamiya, Nikko buggies were a Holy Grail for me! Just cut some (re-re) radio-box for this original Bruiser, and made some custom body posts to lower the body. And designed some rims to fit the tires, which not only look great indeed, but also work fine. Seems to me that videos are not a big thing on TamiyaClub, but I personally like them, so I hope I don't hurt no one by putting a link below. https://youtu.be/idRyvxiantA In the 3rd part of the vid', one can see that those Wild Willy/Blazing Blazer do grip even on rocks!
Juggular 5189 Posted March 20, 2024 lol... I got a kick out of the part that you dig yourself in with RWD and get out on 4x4. And climbing is actually quite respectable. I wonder what Tamiya had done with these tires. They should have re-made these and sell the newer versions with them. 1
Mouc-RC 880 Posted March 21, 2024 Thanks a lot, once again. Clearly not a fan of the numerous "RC Review shows" multiplying themselves these days. But I ardently support the home-made videos by "normal RC guys" like the majority of us, just hoping to share some nice picture/footage of honest RC cars that they love Those tires definitely deserve some exposure!

RA1028 makes them, and he is a long-time member here on TC, so you could try contacting him here: https://www.tamiyaclub.com/member.asp?id=1675 I have purchased several sets of the WW/BB tires and can confirm they are excellent. stulec52 54 Posted April 15, 2024 So, Update on these tires. I did find someone with a couple of extra sets, not sure if they want it publicized that they have some, so watch here in case they update, or PM me. Worth noting, they were shipped when they said they would, and arrived very quickly. Although they have been shipped to a friend who happened to live much closer, so I don't actually have them in my own hands just yet.

BuggyDad 6528 Posted February 15 I think I noticed that MCI may be doing a version of these. They were a lot of money though. But I did just receive an email saying this is one of their discount weekends.
urban warrior 864 Posted February 17 Good morning! Do you have a link to the seller?
Mouc-RC 880 Posted February 17 Hello my friend, Not totally sure, but I seem to remember that on Ebay, this was his shop: https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/scaleelementsrcshop?_tab=feedback Otherwise, looked at the prices of MCI/Team Blue Groove... Wow. @RA1028 was a lot cheaper.
njmlondon 757 Posted February 17 Wow, $300CAD for a set of 4! I had a set of @RA1028's back in the day and they were fantastic. Unfortunately they got sold in a clear out a long time ago. Interesting to see that MCI are really going to town and have a set of FAV/Rough Rider style Sand Blasters in 1.5 which could look awesome on my Fighting Buggy, and a set of OG Lancia / Opel tires which are impossible to find nowadays and stalled my restoration... I wonder how they tires hold up to actual running.
